Telford Homes site manager commended by NHBC

Aqil Chaudry of Telford Homes was among the finalists commended by the NHBC Health and Safety Awards for his work on, and dedication to, the Bermondsey Works development in South London.

The NHBC Health and Safety Awards is the UK's leading health and safety awards scheme exclusively for home builders. With the primary aim to recognise and reward the very best in health and safety, the awards also strive to support a wider push in safety standards across the industry by showcasing and sharing best practice.

Aqil was commended for his work as site manager at Bermondsey Works ensuring the development embodies the NHBC’s aim to recognise the best in contemporary city living with utmost quality and safety standards.

Located on Rotherhithe New Road, Telford Homes has recently launched Phase 2 of Bermondsey Works. The development comprises a range of 148, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, villas and penthouses, arranged across a striking 18-storey tower and contemporary lower rise 6-storey building, all located above a Primary School and Sixth Form Academy.

Designed by award-winning architects Stockwool, Bermondsey Works aims to deliver the best in contemporary city living and includes a 24-hour concierge service, private gymnasium, underground parking, bicycle storage and two roof gardens for residents to enjoy.

Now in its 7th year, the NHBC Health and Safety Awards Committee has seen many home builders invest heavily in their health and safety systems, processes and procedures. There has been a drive to enhance strong and exemplary practice across the industry and these Awards capture sites, such as Bermondsey Works, which are leading the way.

Phase 2 prices start from £507,500 with first completions expected from Summer 2017.
