Why East London defied housing market jitters
Premier London apartment builder Telford Homes has just revealed first details of its new south east London development, to be launched this September. ‘Greenwich Creekside’ is located close to the River Thames and just next door to the famous Laban Dance Centre, from which it draws its architectural inspiration. The layout by Squires and Partners, is based on the form of a group of dancers.
Apartments at this striking new development will be spread across four buildings, ranging from eight to 17 storeys in height, with a sleek modern look in steel and glass. High style will be reflected through the matching level of detail to internal layout and specification with finishes to the exceptional standard associated with Telford Homes, coupled with a 24 hour concierge service. The Adagio Apartment building will be the first to launch, offering one, two and three bedroom homes with parking.
Greenwich Creekside is situated 250m south of the River Thames; it is the western half of the whole new Creekside development, adjacent to Deptford Creek. This will rejuvenate the heart of the area by establishing a vibrant and creative community. The overall development will contain a jazz venue and theatre as well as covered walkways to create a communal ‘Piazza’ and a new footbridge over the Creek to enhance access to Greenwich station. Greenwich town centre and Park are all within easy reach on foot, cycling or by bus.
Greenwich Creekside is served by excellent public transport links. Cutty Sark, Greenwich and Deptford Bridge DLR stations with fast access to The City and Canary Wharf are all close by, as are the mainline stations of Greenwich and Deptford which also provide access to The City, West End and out towards the Kent coast. Sheena Ellwood, Sales and Marketing Director at Telford Homes, comments: “At Telford Homes we believe excellent design and maximum vale for money are extremely important; Greenwich Creekside will combine both whilst creating a stylish and exciting place to live. This development will generate a cultural hub in an already exciting part of London. We are already able to give our buyers first information on it and buyers can register with us now for invitations to the first launch and guide prices.” The Adagio Apartments at Greenwich Creekside will launch in late September 2008 and anticipated completion from autumn 2010.
