TELFORD HOMES WINS TWO BRITISH HOMES AWARDS
The East London residential developer wins the prestigious – ‘Homebuilder of the Year’ and leads the way by winning the Innovation Award for Building Technology’
Telford Homes is committed to delivering high quality mixed-tenure developments that contribute to the regeneration of East London; they are now defined by a real commitment to providing superb product design and finish, uncompromising customer service and long-term value-for-money. These principles led them to be acknowledged and celebrated by their industry peers at the Mail on Sunday British Homes Awards 2009, held last week (Thursday 17th September 2009).
The highlight was winning the prestigious Homebuilder of the Year Award which not only recognises Telford Homes’ commitment to sustainable regeneration and creating new communities, it also addresses the need for strong architectural design and landscaping as well as innovative construction methods.
Stadthaus N1, now known as the Graphite Apartments, is a unique development from its creative design and construction to its eco-credentials, winning Telford Homes the Innovative Award for Building Technology. The building itself, designed by architects Waugh Thistleton, makes quite a statement with its pioneering solid timber cellular structure. It brings stylish eco-living to the heart of London and a mixed tenure of private sale apartments with shared-ownership and rental homes for Metropolitan Housing Trust, a perfect example of Telford Homes’ approach to development.
Sheena Ellwood, Sales & Marketing Director, Telford Homes, said of winning: “These awards are a testament to the work of the whole team at Telford Homes; we are committed to delivering outstanding developments and to the regeneration of East London. We are delighted to be acknowledged by the industry for our efforts; we are hugely committed to our East London heartland in which we continue to create sustainable new communities.”
