Telford Homes named ‘Medium Housebuilder of the Year’

Telford Homes has been presented with a grand total of three awards and one commendation at the Housebuilder Awards 2017. Proudly winning the prestigious ‘Medium Housebuilder of the Year’, Telford Homes went on to receive awards for ‘Best Community Initiative’ and ‘Best Design for Four Storeys or more’ for its innovative VIBE development which also received a commendation for ‘Best Regeneration Initiative’.

The awards were accepted by CEO of Telford Homes, Jon Di-Stefano, in front of more than 500 guests at a prestigious black-tie gala at the InterContinental Hotel The O2, in London, on the 2nd November. Now in their 13th year, the Housebuilder Awards are highly respected throughout the industry and celebrate those who constantly strive to produce high quality, carefully designed, innovative new homes.

Completed in Autumn 2016, VIBE was developed by Telford Homes in partnership with the Holy Trinity Primary School to incorporate a new two-tier primary school in the lower levels of the residential development. Set in the trendy district of Dalston – in an area where the demand for housing and school places was intense, and funding for new school premises limited – Telford Homes devised an ingenious solution to purchase the air rights above the old school. Proactively engaging with local tenants, residents’ association, church, council and youth groups Telford Homes constructed an 11-storey architecturally impressive building of 101 modern, urban apartments and a state-of-the-art new school. The development’s design and community centered initiative has been praised with two awards of ‘Best Community Initiative’ and ‘Best Design for Four Storeys’.

The recognition as ‘Medium Housebuilder of the Year’ is testament to each of its developments as the company continues to represent the very best of the industry.
