  • Stylish show home gives the public a taste of contemporary London living.

We are delighted to have launched a stylish new 1-bedroom show apartment at The Lock, giving the public an insight into contemporary London living at the exciting new waterfront neighbourhood at Greenford Quay, West London.

The interior design is both beautiful and elegant, which buyers can reproduce at an affordable price. The stunning show home includes one spacious bedroom, ensuite and an expansive open plan kitchen, living and dining room area, providing ample space and the freedom to adapt to fit with varying lifestyle needs. For those currently working from home, HAUS have designed a dedicated working space incorporating a wooden desk that provides an ideal place for productivity, away from the distractions of the rest of the living space.

Designed by leading interior designers HAUS, the showroom features contemporary interiors that provide a warm and cosy feeling to the apartment. Experimenting with a balance of sharp lines and soft curves, HAUS were able to zone out the living space whilst also creating a fun and inviting environment, using blocks of rich colours. Attention is drawn to the deep raspberry colour blocked against the white in the lounge area, which adds depth to the walls and creates the perfect backdrop for neutral furniture.

The apartment boasts high ceilings, bringing in an abundance of natural light and space, which is accentuated by floor to ceiling curtains. Stunning views of Greenford can be seen from the balcony.

Creating a relaxing and calming space was at the heart of the design for the bedroom. The soft blush fabric on the channelled headboard and light blue hues on the cushions complement the serene atmosphere of the room. Hints of gold add a touch of luxury, which is enhanced by the abundance of natural light that also accentuate the beauty of the dressing table.

Felicity Stevens, Director of HAUS Interiors, said: “Haus Interiors were delighted to be appointed to design the show apartment at Greenford. We were asked to create an inspiring and fun interior, which would not only show off how an open plan living space could be used, but how we could also capture the essence of the development in the use of colour and form. From using blocks of rich colours in the living area, we softened the design of the bedroom using pale pinks and blues, as we wanted to represent a peaceful sanctuary. The design provokes thought in how the use of colour blocking and contrasting colour palettes can be used to tailor an open plan living space to an individuals needs and personality.”

Simon Halfhide, Group Sales Director of Telford Homes, said: “Located in the heart of a vibrant new canalside community, The Lock at Greenford Quay is the ideal choice for those searching for their next home. Spacious and adaptable living spaces, plus access to a host of on-site amenities from hospitality offerings, to exercise areas and an abundance of outdoor space, means the development truly provides everything needed for a contemporary London lifestyle.”

Positioned on the edge of the beautiful Grand Union Canal, residents at Greenford Quay can enjoy exploring nature with walks or cycles through ancient woodland, grassland, ponds and hedgerows, whilst still benefiting from easy access to Central London and the wider country. Greenford station is just a few minutes’ walk away, offering access to the City and Canary Wharf via the Central Line, or a 15 minute walk from Sudbury Hill on the Piccadilly Line. The development is also minutes away by tube to West Ealing, a future Crossrail station with connections to Europe. Residents will also benefit from multiple local bus routes, as well as a wide network of cycle lanes via the London Cycle Network. Extensive road links also surround the development, providing access to the North Circular and M25 via the A40.

The development forms part of Greenford Quay; a vibrant new waterfront neighbourhood. In total, the masterplan will deliver 2,118 high quality homes over eight hectares of renovated waterfront land, as well as over 20,500sqm of commercial space. The new neighbourhood features a new canal footbridge, an incredible listed heritage building and beautifully sculptured public space. It features an on-site primary school, with award-winning nursery, Puzzle Monkey due to open soon. An additional health centre, contemporary offices and a vast array of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities offer residents an exciting new neighbourhood, right on their doorstep. The high street provides the ultimate shopping and dining experience, with outside seating and the Creative Quarter offers a range of creative and co-working spaces.

The Lock offers spacious 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, with balconies overlooking landscaped gardens and the beautiful Grand Union Canal. Prices start from £395,500 for a 1 bedroom apartment – and Help to Buy is available on selected apartments at the development.
