TELFORD HOMES’ WIN SUPREME AWARD AT NHBC INDUSTRY ‘OSCARS’

Telford Homes are delighted to announce that Damian Barden, Project Manager of their flagship development Greenwich Creekside has achieved the ultimate recognition by the NHBC (National House-Building Council) at the 2011 Pride in the Job Awards, held recently in central London.

From the four possible categories, Damian was presented with the Supreme Award for the Multi-storey Builder out of a shortlist of seven regional winners, beating around 13,000 other site managers across the UK working on other projects registered with NHBC, the UK’s leading new-home warranty and insurance provider.

Damian said of winning “I’m very proud, the award is in recognition of the hard work of the whole team at Greenwich Creekside and it was a great honour and achievement to receive this accolade from the NHBC.”

Pride in the Job is the only awards scheme to reward site managers for the unique contribution they make to the house-building process, being responsible for delivering high quality homes by directing projects from start to finish. Judging begins in July each year and continues, in total, for the next 18 months, enabling NHBC inspectors and the independent judges to fully assess site managers’ work over an extended period of time.

Damian was recognised for his commitment to building new homes of outstanding quality, alongside the three other category winners and runners-up in each division, at an event widely considered to be the ‘Oscars’ of the house-building industry.
